The FUMC Handbell Choir is a fun group of men and women that play primarily at the 8 am and/or 11am Sunday morning worship services. We often join in with the Chancel Choir and other music groups for special numbers throughout the year. The group plans an eventful trip every spring to attend a handbell conference not too far away from central Ohio, where concerts are enjoyed and educational classes are offered to increase and refine our musical talents. Experienced and beginning ringers are all welcome! The Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 5:45 pm – 7:15 pm in the Sanctuary. The first practice for the fall season will be on Thursday, August 30th. New and experienced ringers are welcome!

If you have a musical gift or just the gift to enjoy music, we want you to be a part of the music ministry at Marysville First United Methodist Church. The Chancel Choir leads the congregation in worship from September through the end of May during either the 8:00 am and 11:00 am services. Practices are held on Thursday evenings at 7:30 in the choir room. The first practice for the fall will be Thursday, August 30. No audition is needed, just a willing heart and joyful spirit!

Each Christmas and Easter, the Chancel Choir presents a larger work. We are always looking for volunteers who would like to join us. You do not need to be a regular member of the Chancel Choir to be a part of one of these events. More information will be available before each special event. If you have any questions about Chancel Choir, please contact Angie Howard at

If you enjoy playing an instrument - anything from an electric guitar to a flute or violin, we would love to have you join the Joyful Noise group! This instrumental choir supports primarily the first and third services at First United Methodist Church. Practices begin this fall on Monday, September 10 at 6:30 pm in the Choir Room. All are welcome!! If you have any questions, please contact Linda Forry at or 937-707-9465

August 12 3:00 pm

15050 Fladt Rd.

Marysville FUMC will be conducting an outdoor baptism service on Sunday afternoon August 12 at 3:00 pm. If you are interested in being baptized by immersion, we invite you to a 30 minute class on baptism which will be held on Sunday, July 29 at 5:00 pm. Please contact Pastor Brown at aaron@marysvillefumc if you are interested in being a part of this baptism service. (If you want to be baptized and cannot make the class, we can set up another meeting time to go over the vows.)

Someone asked, “Can I be rebaptized?” In the UMC, we believe that baptism is a sacrament that is made sacred by God’s presence in the act of baptism. Therefore, we believe that regardless of when and where you were baptized, your baptism is valid. Because your baptism is valid, there is never a need to do it over. Thus, there is no such thing as a rebaptism. However, some people who were baptized as an infant have a sincere desire to affirm their commitment to Christ by a public display of baptism. We are willing to do this for an individual with the understanding that it is not a rebaptism, but rather an affirmation of their first baptism.
