We are pleased to offer electronic giving at FUMC. We currently have 93 registered users who use E-Giving for contributions of tithes and offerings, and to pay for mission trips, retreats, etc. The church pays a nominal fee for each transaction ($0.25 per transaction, plus 0.3% of the dol-ar amount), and I monitor the cost vs. benefit. I feel the cost is justified because we receive contributions via E-Giving that we would not otherwise receive. Here is a little E-Giving data:

To sign up for E-Giving, go to the church website and click the blue E-Giving button at the bottom, right of the home page (http://www.marysvillefumc.org/). We accept contributions via transfer from checking/savings accounts, but do not accept credit/debit transactions because the fee structure is much higher. If you choose to set up recurring transactions, know that there is a lag of several days from the transaction date to the deposit date. Because of this, I recommend that recurring transactions be scheduled between the 1st and 20th of the month so that you avoid the confusion of the transaction crossing into the next month.
