Interested in being a Quake Intern?
Here are the qualification and expectations:
The purpose of this internship is to provide for young adults to experience ministry first-hand and offer assistance to the leadership of Quake youth ministry during our busy summer months.
Qualifications for interns:
Graduated from high school more than one year ago (no 2018 graduates)
Interested in understanding their unique calling as a Christian (whether in a church or world)
Committed Christian; strives to “live a life worth of the calling you have received” (Eph. 4:1)
Flexible schedule in order to participate in Quake activities throughout the week and weekends
Motivated learner: willing to take initiative and try and fail in order to succeed
Selfless leader: able to put self aside for the betterment of the Kingdom and in order to accomplish goals of ministry together
Interns would grow through responsibilities in these areas:
MISSION: Organize and attend Transformation Zone (July 8-13)
Serve as an adult leader for youth mission trip to SOS in Memphis, TN (June 9-16)
SPIRITUAL NURTURING: Create and lead lessons for our “Burgers and Bible” summer study
Offer spiritual leadership at Quake & Outbreak events (be willing to pray aloud, lead devotions, and encourage students in faith)
Read two spiritual leadership related books and discuss with youth ministry team member
RELATIONSHIP: Lead and participate in Sunday “Quake Out” youth group outings
Organize Thursday “Sonbelievable” activities
