We are excited to share that we are streamlining our child care head count.  We have established an e-mail account specifically to report child care numbers for Bible Studies, Life Groups and meetings.  This can be used by group leaders or individual parents beginning immediately.  Parents will need to zip an email like this "Parker Family 3/12/2017=3 children" to the e-mail address  You may also send any questions to that e-mail address.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14

Follow the trail, join the pack!
We have a great program for 1st - 5th grade boys. Most of our pack members attend Edgewood Elementary, but boys from ANY school  in the county may join our pack. We welcome other boys in the area and you may join at any time.

The Cub Scout Pack meets every Tuesday evening from 7-8pm at the First United Methodist church in the basement.  We meet during the school year, and offer cookout & camping opportunities as well as a 1 week Summer Day Camp.

To join, or for more information about our pack, send an email to JT Trouten by clicking here.

Marysville First United Methodist Church offers scouting ministries for boys and girls (Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts) which emphasize shared leadership, learning about one's community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.

The Girl Scout Program offers activities include exploration of one's community, educational trips such as going to the zoo, arts and crafts such as decorating t-shirts, and summer camp.

Boy Scout Troop 101 stayed busy this winter.  In February they built a dog sled with optional wheels in case we didn't have snow to race at the Klondike Derby Camporee (no dogs were used for this race :-).

As an Eagle Project, the troop cleaned and built shelving in the attic upstairs for FUMC.  The Boy Scout Troop helped with parking for the Marysville Bluegrass Concert series this Winter.  In May as a service project they cleaned up the Amrine Cemetery and have a campout planned in Michigan.  On May 30th, the scouts will have a Court of Honor in the Sanctuary from 6:30pm to 8pm.  They are off to summer camp at Seven Ranges in Kensington, OH from June 18-24.

Marysville Upward has been put on hold for the 2019 season. We are hoping to relaunch next year for the 2020 season. More details will be released soon.

At MFUMC we are blessed to minister to your children and take seriously their spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.  To ensure their safety we provide Safe Sanctuary Training for all our volunteers.  We also adhere to emergency policies designed for many kinds of situations.  In addition to our nursery and classroom teachers we supply trained hallway coordinators to greet families, monitor classrooms and protect your children.
