To Love God and All People for the Transformation of the World
First United Methodist Church (FUMC) is a wonderful place to worship God and walk in fellowship with great people. This is an exciting time for our congregation as we have recently adopted a new vision: To Love God and All People for the Transformation of the World. Our hope is that everything we do as a congregation can be traced back to this simple vision. The church does not need more or better programs, but a renewed passion for the things Jesus said were most important.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
If we are intentional about loving God and loving all people, we will make disciples and it will lead to the transformation of Marysville and the world. (You can read more about this vision and the values and strategies that go with it elsewhere on our webpage.)
I believe the best days of First United Methodist Church are ahead of us!
