Life Line Screening

May is National Stroke Awareness Month

A stroke occurs every 40 seconds and yet up to 80% of strokes can be prevented.

This is why First United Methodist Church Of Marysville is hosting Life Line Screening, the nation’s leading provider of preventive health screenings on Monday, May 10, 2021.

Screenings are fast, painless and affordable.  Three key tests check for blocked carotid arteries, an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation, and high blood pressure, which are the three leading risk factors for stroke.  Nearly 800,000 strokes will occur this year, taking a life approximately every four minutes.

Other tests check for abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs. A bone density screening to assess osteoporosis risk is also offered and is appropriate for both men and women. Many events also offer blood tests, including cholesterol, glucose and c-reactive protein screenings, as well as take-home colon cancer early detection tests.

Screening packages start at $139. Single tests cost around $70.

For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 1-888-653-6441 or text the word circle to 797979 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com/communitycircle

Pre-registration is required.

Bluegrass Winter Series

July 27, 2020

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of Marysville Winter Bluegrass Series for the remainder of 2020 and 2021. We know this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to the concert artists and attendees, but to the missions and community that this entertainment series support. We are committed to the Marysville Winter Bluegrass Series coming back better than ever in 2022 with a super lineup.

This is not a decision we have made lightly and there are two overriding concerns that caused us to make this decision at this time. First is the uncertainty caused by the fact that the State of Ohio is experiencing a very high exposure and spread of COVID-19 over multiple consecutive months. This increases the probability of factors outside our control forcing us to cancel any rescheduled shows at the last minute much higher. Second, our primary concern is always the responsibility we feel toward the health and wellbeing of our attendees, musicians, and supporters.

The Marysville Winter Bluegrass Series will faithfully issue a full refund for any 2020 Concert Series tickets already purchased. The method of reimbursement will depend on how you purchased your tickets.

 If you purchased your tickets through iTickets.com then you will automatically receive your refund with no action needed on your part.

 If you purchased your tickets at the church or at a concert, please complete the form included with this letter and return along with the tickets before November 15, 2020 to: [download form here]

Marysville Winter Bluegrass Series

207 South Court Street Marysville, OH 43040

If you do not ask for a refund, the money will be used to further our goal of promoting future Bluegrass concerts, supporting the bands, and furthering the series’ missions work. Thank you for your understanding this difficult decision and we look forward to seeing you again in 2022.
