First Time Here?

What to Expect

Welcome! We are excited you have come to Marysville First United Methodist Church! We strive to come alongside to inspire, equip and encourage you to live out a life that will bring glory to God and be a blessing to the world.

Here's all you need to know before you show up for your first Sunday morning: Come as you are. Although our time will be taken up by singing, teaching and praying, you don't need any manual to figure out how to fit in. Jesus simply says: "Come to me" and we say the same. Just come as you are!

Here's our schedule for Sunday morning:

9:00am - Traditional Worship [Sanctuary]

10:30am - Contemporary Worship [BFLC Gym]

9:30am & 10:30am Sunday School options - see brochure!

For the 9:00am service, please check-in your kid(s) in the back of the Sanctuary. They will start out in the Sanctuary with their families and then dismissed at 9:30am for Sunday School. Pick up immediately after the service in room 220.

For the 10:30am, please check-in your kid(s) at the BFLC Welcome Center. They will start out in the Burnside Family Life Center and then be dismissed to Sunday School at 10:45am to their specific classrooms. Pick up is in their classrooms. More information about Children's Church can be found here

Most services last somewhere around an hour long. Want to know more about the differences between our services? Then scroll down.

Traditional Worship

We often sing the traditional hymns of the church with dynamic organ accompaniment. Our choir brings a bold and spirited offering to this service. Most Sundays we pray the Lord’s Prayer and sing the Doxology. We do this with our hearts turned toward God who is the foundation of our faith. The message is always based on the timeless truths of God, but presented in a relevant, authentic, practical way for today. Enjoy the timeless beauty of our Sanctuary, but be prepared to meet the living Spirit of Jesus!

Traditional Worship Service happens in the Sanctuary at 9:00am.

Contemporary Worship

Contemporary worship includes more modern music, and a team of singers with drums, guitars, keyboards and other instruments. We have large screens to project the words to the music, announcements, and message notes. They are projected on the screen to help us not only hear with our ears, but see with our eyes. The setting is casual but the mood is exciting and anticipatory. Our prayer time provides opportunities to pray for one another, or to receive prayer from our prayer team members. The same timeless truths of the Scripture are presented in an authentic, life changing way. We praise, we pray, we promote the love, compassion, and excitement of the God of this contemporary age who is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you are young or older, if you've been a Christian for a long time or want to know Him for the first time, come and see that the Lord is good!

Contemporary Worship happens at 10:30am on Sunday mornings in the BFLC/Gym.
